Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
Dear Patients:
We are committed to the health and well-being of our patients and staff, which is why we have implemented some changes within our facilities to combat the spread of all viruses.
All patients, visitors, and staff undergo temperature screenings upon entering any of our facilities. We are requiring everyone to wear masks. If a patient or visitor does not have a mask, one will be provided, however we do have limited quantities, therefore we ask all patients to bring their own if possible. We are also limiting the visitors and family present to reduce everyone’s exposure.
In the event that you have an urgent orthopedic injury and need to be seen right away, our new OrthoStat clinic is here to help. This will help ease any additional burden on the emergency room departments and enable patients to be seen directly at Washington Orthopaedic Center. Due to COVID-19 measures in place, we ask that you call ahead, 360-736-2889, notifying us that you have an injury and then we can facilitate an expedited appointment for you.
We have also been working with Providence Centralia Hospital to coordinate the rescheduling of all patients who had their surgeries canceled since March, due to COVID-19. One of our surgery schedulers will be in contact with all patients to reschedule these surgeries.
Our Olympia and Centralia clinics are now open normal hours.
We understand that COVID-19 have disrupted all aspects of your life, which is why we want your orthopedic care to be easier than ever to access. Telemedicine options give you access to your orthopedic provider right in the comfort of your own home. Many orthopedic conditions can be discussed via telemedicine options, and treatment can begin right away. If you do not feel comfortable being out in public or would prefer to stay home, please call our office at 1-360-736-2889, to discuss potential Telemedicine options. We want the best for your health and will work with you to transition to a Telemedicine option if appropriate.
At a time of uncertainty, we appreciate everyone’s patience and support. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to our Medical Office Manager at 360-330-1874. As always, try to stay healthy and injury free during these trying times.
Sincerely,
Keith Birchard, MD
