“One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is helping people and getting to take part in improving their quality of life. Being able to diagnose and treat is a big part of what we do, but to also ensure that my patients feel heard and supported is also essential in their recovery. Before I became a physician assistant, I had a career in clinical research, which afforded me the opportunity to work with epilepsy patients and eventually orthopedic trauma. Witnessing these patients’ recovery was not only remarkable but inspirational. It was this patient population that inspired me to go back to school to become a PA so that I could be more involved in patient care. Patients, who are happy and have a successful recovery, are what motivates me to be the best provider I can be.”
