It was after starting his freshman year at the University of Minnesota that he wanted to become a Physician Assistant. He worked as a Personal Care Assistant for individuals with disabilities during his Junior and Senior year, which taught him the values of patience and compassion. Lukas assisted his fellow students with their journeys as the president of the Pre-Physician Assistant club during his senior year of college, while also working as a research assistant in the field of cancer genetics.
After graduating from college, he took a year off and worked at an internal medicine clinic and a mental health clinic, while also making wood furniture on the side. Lukas then got accepted to the Physician Assistant Program at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. There he served as the President of the Class of 2017 and continued his passion for medicine.
Lukas is excited to continue his journey to the great state of Washington practicing orthopedics at Washington Orthopaedic Center. Some of his interests include, hiking, running, soccer, snowboarding, music, and woodworking. He is thrilled with the idea of exploring the forests, mountains, lakes and ocean beaches that Washington has to offer.
