“What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“I do my best to remember this as I go through my days as I interact with patients. I truly believe the way you treat a person, not just the words you speak, makes the biggest impression. A large part of my career spent as a physical therapist assistant was educating patients, enabling the patient to take an active role in his/her rehabilitation process. I spent 10 years working in physical therapy helping patients of all ages recover from a range of injuries and surgeries. The injuries ranged from sports and on the job injuries to total joint replacements and rotator cuff repairs as well as spinal cord injuries. As I worked with patients in physical therapy I desired to be more involved in the orthopedic care of patients. The role of physician assistant fit perfectly. I graduated from MEDEX Northwest, the Physician Assistant program at the University of Washington and found a home at Washington Orthopaedic Center.”
